11 days Circuit Azahar

Day 1 : ENKAILHA / FOUM LARJAM

Departure from ENKAILHA to FOUM larjam which extends along 4 km at the foot of the mountain BANI of ancient Portuguese tombs and ruins. We will also see some rock caves on the route.

Overnight in the palm.

Day 2 : FOUM LARJAM / RASSENKHAL

The caravan continues on its way to RASSENKHAL, passing by M’Hamid gives you an opportunity  to visit many old Kasbahs and village guards who still live in the Palm areas.

Day 3 : RASSENKHAL / SIDI NAJI

The desert is reaching out: ergs and regs are mixed among the tamarisk. We will see the chain KRAAB located at the Algerian border. The team will install the bivouac for the night near the tomb of Sidi Naji, a place of pilgrimage for Saharawi women wishing to marry.

Day 4 : SIDI NAJI / ERG ZAHAR

We will visit the ruins of Ksar Bousnina, then through the virgin wilderness before reaching the magnificent dunes Zahar to admire the sunset. Dinner and overnight under the stars.

Day 5 : ERG ZAHAR / ERG ESSADRA

We will wake up at the sunrise. Breakfast in the Bedouin lifestyle is served inside or on the open air. Then the caravan continues its way towards Erg Smar via Ait Ounabgui, lunch in the desert. The afternoon will be marked by the crossing of the great Reg DZIRA, characterized by its very flat ground. We will set up camp for the night in Erg Essadra. Dinner and overnight in tents or under the stars

Day 6 : ERG ESSADRA / CHEGAGA

We will be heading towards Chegaga, the largest dunes in the region, where we will see the sea of sand. Reaching our Bivouac installed in the middle of this immensity we will be able to take a well deserved pause the 7th day.

Day 8 : CHEGAGA / OASIS sacrée OUM LAALAG

We will head for lunch to OUM LAALAG, inexhaustible source of water in the heart of the desert where you can enjoy the happiness of cool.

Day 9 : OUM LAALAG / OUED EL GHARG

Through the rocky and stony reg, the caravan continues its journey.

Day 10 : OUED EL GHARG / OUED NAAM

Formerly populated by ostriches, we will join the river, which kept the name of its former inhabitants … (Naam = Ostriches).

Day 11 : OUED NAAM / M’HAMID
